We really do need volunteers as these tournaments don't run by themselves - if interested in volunteering, but not playing, please do let me know us know at info@lpgaamateurshamiltonburlington.ca. Volunteering is an excellent way to learn more about LPGA Amateurs and how we run events.
Positions include Registration, selling tickets, distributing the player's gift (the logo'd shirt), monitoring the speed hole, etc. Volunteers at this event will receive a further discount on the Dinner+Shirt option - $25.
If you'd like to hear from a new member's experience volunteering at last year's event, please read Rosanna's story under the Volunteer section.
The next All-Ontario Trillium Event will be held again at Ariss Valley Golf Club, just north of Guelph. July 21, 2025

A Volunteer's Experience
I joined the LPGA Amateurs – Hamilton-Burlington this year as a newer golfer just learning the game. I wanted to meet fellow golfers, socialize and have fun. When first asked to volunteer for the recent LPGA Amateurs Ontario Scramble Open I was hesitant, nervous and a little anxious. I didn’t know whether I would know what to do. I decided I would help out as this was the only way to meet this amazing group of ladies and assist if I wasn’t ready to play in the tournament yet.
I was asked to assist in selling the Honey Pot tickets and monitoring the “Speed hole”. I had no idea what either were. With the incredible encouragement, support and kindness of not only the fellow volunteers, but all the players I was so glad that I decided to participate. Everyone was so kind and ready to answer and help when needed. I didn’t think I would last 4.5 hours on the Speed Hole, but thanks to my new friend, Laurie from Waterloo Chapter, the afternoon flew by. We had a great time. It was extremely entertaining watching the foursomes devise their strategy to play the fastest on the hole. I had a great day all around!
To anyone who is hesitant about volunteering, please rest assured that it is such a rewarding experience. I learned so much about the game of golf, met so many wonderful women, and made some new friends. These ladies were so appreciative of all the volunteers. We were thanked so often during the day. It was a great day. I look forward to volunteering again!

LPGA Amateurs - Hamilton-Burlington
The above is just one example of the 'task' type of volunteer help and volunteer experience that is available to all our members for either Chapter Events or All-Ontario Events. If you're not golfing and want to experience what goes on behind putting on a large tournament, volunteering for one of these types of tasks is your best bet. A few hours of help from volunteers are really appreciated by the Event organizers.
If you are considering volunteering, sitting in on meetings to get a feel for us, or have questions on how you can help, please contact us at info@lpgamateurshamiltonburlington.ca
