Volunteering is one of the best ways to connect with fellow members and truly get to know the community. If you're looking to dive in, here are a few ways you can help:
The Perk: Secure a guaranteed tee time before the event fills up!
How to Sign Up: CLICK HERE to register as a host.
Note: We use SignUpGenius for scheduling. You will need to create a free account to sign up.
We run 2–3 tournaments per year and always need an extra set of hands. Whether you're helping with check-in, scoring, ball spotting, or pace-of-play monitoring, these simple tasks make a massive difference. Interested? Contact our MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR to get started.
We’ve refreshed our Volunteer Appreciation for 2026 to better recognize those who give back to our chapter. Under this new plan, anyone who steps up to host a single golf event will receive a gift of appreciation at the end of the year.
For those who contribute even more—by hosting at least three golf events, hosting a social event, serving on the board, leading a committee, or dedicating significant extra hours to our operations—we want to offer an added reward. To celebrate that extensive time and commitment, these volunteers not only will receive a gift of appreciation but will also receive an exclusive invitation to our Volunteer Appreciation Event, which includes a complimentary round of golf.

OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES
As a chapter that runs entirely on volunteers, we are always looking for members to lend their time and talents. You can make a lasting impact by joining one of our standing committees:
Tournament Committee: Help organize and execute our larger competitive events, coordinate with courses, and manage tournament logistics.
Social Committee: Help plan and execute our off-course gatherings, dinners, and mixers that keep our community connected.
Spirit Award Committee: Assist in identifying and celebrating members who embody the true camaraderie and sportsmanship of the game.
STAY TUNED FOR MORE: If other volunteer opportunities become available wether in our chapter or in our community, they will be posted on the website. We are grateful for your help in making this chapter thrive!
Chapter Spirit Award
In Memory of Ai-Hwei Yang
About the Award
Ai-Hwei Yang, one of our most active members, was passionate about golf and the LPGA Amateur Association. She unselfishly gave her knowledge, time, advice and friendship to the members of the Triangle NC Chapter and truly embodied the spirit in which our Chapter was created.
When Ai-Hwei passed in 2016, a group of members and the Board of Directors decided to keep that spirit and enthusiasm alive by acknowledging each year one member of the LPGA Amateur Association - Triangle NC Chapter who, throughout the year, embodied that spirit, enthusiasm and fellowship.
Please consider nominating a fellow member or even yourself. We want to recognize an individual who in the past year demonstrated many of the following of Ai-Hwei’s characteristics:
Nominators should submit the characteristics demonstrated from the list above and describe the actions and rationale that make her/his nominee deserving of this prestigious award. Any additional information that may assist the Chapter in making the selection may also be added to the form. Self nominations are also permitted.
Nominations begin in mid-October. All nominations will be submitted to the full membership for voting starting mid November . The prior years winner will present the award at the Annual Year End Dinner.
