Rules & Etiquette Clinic: Following the great feedback from our first clinic earlier this year, we’re excited to announce that we are having another clinic—tailored specifically for our beginner golfers.  Full details will be sent via a email from our membership director.

New Joint Event: The Cradle at Pinehurst Resort!

We’re teaming up with the Sandhills Chapter for a joint outing at The Cradle at Pinehurst Resort on Sunday, August 16th. It’s the perfect spot to practice your short game and mingle with golfers from both chapters!

New golfers + 9 holes = A total blast! ⛳️

We welcomed 5 brave new members at Knights Play this month! All of these ladies have been playing for less than a year—and some haven't even tackled a full 18 holes yet. While taking on the par-3 course, we dropped a bucket load of golf knowledge, covering everything from cart etiquette to navigating the greens.

We are officially kicking off our “Triangle Chapter Recruitment Drive!” This runs alongside the national LPGA Amateurs "Member Get a Member" initiative, giving you two ways to win.

The Timeline: October 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.

The Prize: The chapter member who recruits the most newcomers will win a custom, handcrafted head cover of their choice from Seamus Golf (valued up to $130)!

• The person you recruit must be a brand-new member (they cannot have been an LPGA Amateurs or EWGA member within the last 10 years).
• All memberships must be processed through the official LPGA Amateurs website.
• Remind your recruits to enter YOUR NAME in the referral section of their online paperwork when they join.
• In the event of a tie,  the member who recruited their last member the earliest would be the winner.

You are invited to hang out for a fun evening off the courses. This event will be held on Tuesday, May 12th at Ponysaurus Brewing in Durham, NC. Members can enjoy a selection of cold beer, wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, as well as delicious pizza and salads. The evening will start at 6:00 PM and our host is Laura Ertel.

We’ve refreshed our Volunteer Appreciation to better recognize those who give back to our chapter. Under this new plan, anyone who steps up to host a single golf event will receive a gift of appreciation at the end of the year.

For those who contribute even more—by hosting at least three golf events, hosting a social event, serving on the board, leading a committee, or dedicating significant extra hours to our operations—we want to offer an added reward. To celebrate that extensive time and commitment, these volunteers will receive an exclusive invitation to our Volunteer Appreciation Event, which includes a complimentary round of golf.
