Dear Colonial Golf Fans –
Colonial has the honor of hosting the newly renamed Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational - one of the most prestigious college golf tournaments in the country - on October 3rd and 4th. We're prepping for this year’s tournament, and seeking volunteers to be walking scorers and to work the main leaderboard by the 18th Green. The tournament features multiple of the top ranked teams in college golf! The weather should be great in early fall, and what better way to see it up close and personal!
Shifts for walking scorers are on Monday from 7:30-1:30 or 1:30-7:30 (shotgun start, two rounds for the players) and Tuesday from ~7:30-1:30 (tee times in leaderboard order). Please let me know if you'd be interested in volunteering, and I can provide more information.

We highly encourage all members to participate in all the events we have available. However, some events will have eligibility requirements.
We have been tracking participation this season. Mostly to help us with determining how successful an event is so we can have a better idea of the types of events you would like to see. We are also tracking participation for eligibility to participate in the Chapter Championship, North Texas Shootout and to acknowledge our members during our End of Year Celebration.
Specifically, in order to be eligible to participate in the Chapter Championship and NTxSO (north Texas Shootout), a member will be required to play in a minimum of 4 Chapter events (i.e., combined 72 holes of for example Mo' Golf Monday, Girlfriend Golf, fUnKY Friday, Sunday Funday or Chapter Play Days) between Mar 26 - Sep 30, 2022.

The Lone Star Cup (LSC) was created to provide members the opportunity to develop friendships outside their own Chapters. Originally slated as a competition between the Texas Chapters, it has been expanded to include Chapters in Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico! Held annually since 2001, LSC is a two-day match play competition - Four-Ball (Best Ball) or Alternate Shot on the first/team day and singles on the second day.
Dates: September 15 - 17
Venue: Forest Creek Golf Club in Round Rock, TX
Tournament Host: Austin Chapter
FW Team Captain: Lauren Larson (214-534-1845)
Registration/sign up to play on the team: May 16 - June 3 (Email will be sent to all FW Chapter members on 5/16)
Tryouts: The month of June. Should we need tryouts, it will be a one-hour session on a date of your choosing. Look for dates in the newsletter. 9 highest scores are on the team + 3 Captain picks. The two alternates will come from the tryout scores. Tryouts will be a matrix of challenges players can score with such as chipping closest to the hole, etc.

we are a community that is invested in you as golfers, amazing women, and friends!
Sure, it’s the golf that introduced us to each other, but it’s the laughter, the stories, the meals we’ve shared, and the joy in each other’s victories and successes that shape us into this community—our golfing family.
Golf buddies support each other. They’ll high-five your amazing putts and hand you an eraser at the no-judgement 19th hole.
The most fierce women play golf. Golf challenges the players personally and bares their souls. Strong friendships result from such shared triumphs and adversity.
